Liked it short but a good story

Lady Audra Lambert had been betrothed three times two died and one ended it when he was very ill. She is known as the Poor Lamb by the Ton. She tries to avoid their gatherings as much as possible. Her brother has promised he will give her control of her dowry If she will chaperone his Ward Dorinda Grey. She sees her third betrothed Lucas Kinley dancing is she over him? . He asks her later to dance she has to accept as it would cause even more talk about her. You find out that she broke up with him instead of the other way around. She comes up with a plan later to get Dorinda to marry Lucas. She tells him she will give up part of her dowry if he marries her. Dorinda does not want him she likes a soldier . You don't know what Lucas wants and Audra even seems to like Lucas . Who will end up with who read this short novella and find out for yourself. I have read all of the author's regency or historical romances a favorite author for me.

Honourable H and a sweet story

Our h is unlucky in love as 2 of her fiance's have died and the third and last nearly died so she jilted him for his own good. As the story starts the h comes back to town to help her Ducal brother marry off his ward and by doing this he has agreed to let her set up on her own by allowing her access to her dowry. The h meets her third fiance, the H, again and he is totally recovered. She comes up with the scheme that the H should marry her brother's ward and she'll give him part of her dowry. I enjoyed the story very much and it was clear that our H is deserving of that title. Very sweet short story
