The rating was choosen because I did not believe the writers showed enough Americanism. The book seems to tell it the way it is in the European Patent Office, yet it was a "Culture Shock" as the book is very, very Socialist to say the very least. As the book explains, "Natural Law" does not exist in Europe anymore. It is best to explain as an example say:
The European Patent Law is highly influnced by the fact that Europeans are so afraid that Space-Aliens are going to land demanding Patent Rights that No Scientific theory can be patented and it makes them look very, very Racist or anti-scientist.

About the Author
Uri Orlev was born in Warsaw in 1931. He spent the years 1939–41 in hiding in the Warsaw ghetto with his mother and younger brother. When his mother was killed by the Nazis, he and his brother were sent to Bergen-Belsen. After the war, Orlev went to Israel. He now lives in Jerusalem with his wife and their three children.
In 1996, Uri Orlev received the Hans Christian Andersen Award, the highest international recognition given to an author of children’s books, for his lasting contribution to children’s literature.

The boy runs off and now must survive on his own. His fathers friend tells him to stay at a abondened building for as long as it takes for his father to come. He finds a hide out above the ruins. He hides out there with his pet mouse. He makes two new friends when he shoots a german soldier with the gun his father gave him. He saved their lives, but one of them was shoot. It takes care of the man with the wound while the other guy takes care of some buisness. The wounded man tells of a way to get to the other sideof the wall. After a doctor helps the man, he has to leave. The boy is once again alone. He meets some girl on the polish side that becomes his girlfrind. They find a waay to communicate over the wall and he visits her once and awhile. She has to move so they promise after the war to meet in the ghetto on new years eve. The winter is very cold and he probaly cant survive it. His father actually comes back after 7 months.

Very Insightful Reading

This book was written several years ago now, when President Obama was in the beginning stages of his national coming of age as a politician. The book delineated some of the basic principles found in concepts of leadership, and outlined his philosophy of teambuilding and the development of culture for a functioning team environment. Not having been in the White House, I can make no judgment as to whether any of these concepts have worked or not. I wish the book would have addressed more about his ability in the area of his policy and foreign relations skills, as those are two of his strongest leadership areas, yet were not addressed. He skillfully uses his legal background to analyze and foresee policy issues, and is able to predict the consequences of policy changes and the effects the changes will have on all parties. This is a skill that few leaders have or have had in the White House. His adeptness at foreign relations are also a strong leadership trait that could have been highlighted in the book, but were not. These leadership skills, too, have benefitted the US and not been discussed.

Put together poorly

The overall concept of this book was a good one as it described President Obama's leadership style and how he has used it to succeed. The book was an easy ready, but you can tell it was put together in a hurry as it is very sloppy and repetitive. At many points in the book, I thought I misplaced my bookmark because I felt like I was rereading paragraphs. It turns out the author says the exact same thing throughout the book. It probably could have been consolidated into about 50 pages. I was very disappointed.
